This book is supposed to be about regular people. What happens in the book to make it interesting to read about other regular people?

I have older-sister so i can agree what Amara thinks and say about Raina which is her older-sister.And i also like the part when Raina,Amara and will(Their brother) bought a fish each because i also had same experience.
